Spotlight: Shanelle

SHANELLE ROBINSON
Shanelle is from Orem, UT. She is the oldest of eight children, with six brothers between her and her sister, who is 7. She and her husband Mike were in the same ward growing up but didn't know each other; however, their dads are best friends and set them up after Mike's mission. He claims she said no the first time he asked her out, but she says the evidence is there that she said yes, because they ended up going out. They have been married for 3 years. Mike will graduate from the UVSC nursing program this semester and is going to become a Nurse Anesthetist. Shanelle has traveled a lot, and has been to Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, and China. She loves traveling and would like to visit Italy, Cambodia, Thailand, New Zealand, Africa, and Norway. She loves to read, draw, play the piano, hang out with Mike, and do things outside, like hiking and camping. She is talented at art, music and reading. Shanelle's favorite food is anything Indian or Thai. She would pick reading a book over watching a movie, and can often be seen reading in Community Health when the lecture gets boring. :) She has the unique talent of being able to read a 100 page book in under an hour! A few of the long list of her favorite books are East of Eden (or anything by John Steinbeck), A Tale of Two Cities, Song of the Lark, Far From the Madding Crowd, Things Fall Apart, and Atlas Shrugged. Her favorite movie is How to Steal a Million. Her favorite Disney character is Mushu the dragon from Mulan ("Who doesn't love Eddie Murphy as a small red dragon?"). Her favorite instrument is the Barnhart Curette ("It can reach way back there and get under the gums for the distals of the 2nd molars"). After hygiene school, she'd like to travel the world, be an artist and use her hygiene degree to make money as needed.

p.s. Sorry Shanelle, this is the only picture I had of you!
